Packing Party
Sunday, Nov. 11th after SS
We are planning our All Church Packing Party/Luncheon after Sunday school on Nov. 11th. The plans are to eat lunch and then begin packing shoe boxes in the gym. It is our prayer and goal this year to pack 1200 boxes.
Check out our OCC Christmas tree that was made. Envelopes are attached to our tree with a picture of the items you can help purchase. Come and take an envelope off the tree and put it in the box. Kimberely Bouillet will be ordering items online at reduced prices.
We are in need of items such as: washcloths, soap, and toothbrushes. There is a red flyer in the narthex with suggested items. Toothpaste and candy are not allowed. South Knox Elementary school will be collecting items Oct. 22nd through Oct. 31st.
It has been exciting to see all the handmade items that folks have made this year. We now have over 1900 items. Check out the display in the narthex. The goal is to have 2000 handmade items.
We plan to have shoebox work days every Monday at 1:30 PM until our packing party (Nov. 11th). We will be putting together coloring books, making jump ropes, assembling boxes etc. Come and be a part of this we can always use extra help.
As you can see there are many ways you can be a part of our OCC ministry. Potage is $9.00 per box and a donation will be taken for that in November. – Pastor Kay
