We're all bombarded with tormentors that want to tear us down, that want us to think we are less than what we are. These mockers know we are image-bearers of the Creator and want us to think less of ourselves, and therefore less of Him. As we battle them, we don't like to accept it, but we are not the hero of our stories. At least, not if we want to be victorious. That doesn't mean we sit back and enjoy the show. We have a role to play. As we do, we'll realize it's OK not to be the hero.
